Home at Last

Soon after the siege of Notre Dame, Esmeralda found herself fleeing with the other Gypsy's to Spain. Andalusia was a beautiful area, but the trek proved fruitless. The arrival was bitter as Clopin came across his arch nemesis Marcel...

Marcel had been good friends with the King of Truants until one night when everything changed. Rumors say Marcel killed Clopin's brother, others say Clopin murdered Marcel's fiancé. Whatever the case, Marcel and Clopin had split the clan and moved into different parts of Europe. It just so happened the King of the Spanish Gypsy's was Marcel, and Clopin had to turn everyone back home ashamed. Stopping in Northern France, they settled for about a year, Esmeralda still missed everyone back home. As nomads they would always travel, but Esmeralda knew her heart belonged to Paris.

It had been a few weeks since Esmeralda had returned. It seemed not much had changed with the people, but there was a strange air about Paris. Getting back on her feet again meant work. Quickly, she grabbed her tambourine and headed for the square.

All of a sudden a loud commotion could be heard as men began to yell the name

"Esmeralda! Esmeralda!"

Looking through the crowd, the feisty gypsy dancer could be seen shaking her hips to the rhythm. Her purple skirts fluttered in the summer breeze as she kicked in the air and twirled like a top.
